I disagree on your 2nd reason, though. You don’t need credibility to have a good idea. On any subject or in any field. I sometimes write about marketing and I don’t have any real authority there either.
But the 1st reason you shared is all-important and hard to overstate, I think. If it’s not you, it’s not you.
Being tempted to hack into trends is something all writers struggle with and I applaud you for resisting it this time to write something you really care about.
