It was probably born out of a naive sense of ego at the time, but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't like the ethics either, at least the way most people handle it (by not acknowledging their ghostwriters at all). Nowadays, you see more books "written with X," which is better, but still. Who wrote how much? And I know it's prevalent in songwriting and other industries, too. But you can't ghost-act or ghost-run a company. So it only seems fair we uphold some of those same rules in writing, too. Of course, with AI on the rise, that'll make me sound even more like an old fool soon enough. Will probably add a "vintage" stamp to my blog at some point—written with brains only, and only mine. Maybe that'll become a selling point. :D
