I’m not saying the concept of motivation is irrelevant. I’m saying it’s not what’ll carry us to our long-term goals. I’m saying for each goal you can think of (= long-term motivation) you can think of rational habits that you can do day-in and day-out that will get you there, which should, as much as possible, be untied from your inspiration to do things that day (= short-term motivation).
