I can see where you're coming from here, and I appreciate you raised this point! What I want to stress here is that all 3 issues somewhat arise from NOT communicating properly. You're right in saying that, as long as you directly state your point of view, the dynamics of how you get it across may vary. Of course, that's a 2-way street, and there's only so much you can do to find the same lane. I'm not suggesting people shouldn't stand up for themselves, and yeah, if you do want to get rid of someone, showing them the line and then leaving them to their own devices are of course valid measures. This was more written from the perspective of relationships you actually want to keep :)
