Hmm, yeah, I guess it’s a bit hard to ‘get’ the way I meant it. I’m talking about taking positive action and drawing happiness from the action itself, rather than using it to build some sort of character trait over time, then stopping to do the action, and telling yourself “how generous” you are when you’ve long stopped donating money. Instead, just donate $10 whenever you get a chance and be happy about that in that moment. There doesn’t need to be anything else attached to it, like people seeing you donate etc.
